Mykel Flynn will be the first to admit he has no special talent, however, his Personal diety grants him access to knowledge that is both insightful and terrifying. Thoth was the ancient Egyptian god of writing, wisdom, learning, and the moon; according to myth, Thoth invented writing, was the author of the Book of the Dead, and was the vizier and scribe of the afterlife. He was considered the heart and tongue of Ra as well as the means by which Ra's will was translated into speech. He has also been likened to the Logos of Plato and the mind of God. In the Egyptian mythology, he has played many vital and prominent roles, including being one of the two gods (the other being Ma'at) who stood on either side of Ra's boat. He has further been involved in arbitration, magic, writing, science, and the judging of the dead.
Personal Deities can take the form of anything they choose although the often appear as something that reflects both their own personality and that of the person they belong to. They exist on a seperate plain to ours in which shadows of the dead also roam. This can bring insights to the deity which can then be passed to its controller.
